Building Bright Futures of Chittenden County, Vermont is the link among services and families who care about young children in our county.   We focus on expectant families, families with children 6 and younger, the people who care for them and those who make decisions that affect them.

Building Bright Futures of Chittenden County is the host of the regional Early Childhood Council and its committees.  These monthly meetings welcome those who want to learn about programs and issues affecting families and their young children in our community.  There we share our perspectives and knowledge, and work towards making sure quality programs and supports are available to meet the needs of all families, their young children and the people who care for them.

In the Council Committees the work gets done to move the ideas into actions.  Community members are invited to participate any way they want - educating  their legislator, volunteering to deliver a welcome baby bag and more.

Building Bright Futures of Chittenden County is a place to go to find out about resources for both families and professionals.

Building Bright Futures of Chittenden County helps support parent child playgroups. There are over 30 free drop-in groups for parents and young children, each week in Chittenden county.

Building Bright Futures of Chittenden County also coordinates welcome baby visits, annual community birthday parties, and other fun family events within local communities for families with young children. All activities we host are free of charge.
