This is a three page summary of the meeting and action plan created at the annual Kindergarten Summit held in May 2006

Kindergarten readiness data for Chittenden County 2005

This data is collected by Kindergarten teachers on the children in their class, within 6 weeks after the children start kindergarten. The Department of Education then collates the data by school district (or supervisory union - depending on the organization of the school system).  No identifying information about the individual child is included.

Building Bright Futures of Chittenden County conducted a phone survey in 2003, 6 months after families had accepted a Welcome Baby Bag from a visitor in their community. Results helped us learn about the impact of receiving a Welcome Baby bag  and Building Bright Futures of Chittenden County to a community member, in Chittenden County.

Children who leave Child Care due to Behavioral Problems Spring 2003

Building Bright Futures of Chittenden County conducted a survey of child care programs in our county to learn how many children were leaving child care due to behavioral problems, what type Building Bright Futures of Chittenden County if any between program quality and children leaving, and what impact various supports made to child care providers that enabled them to best support these children in their care.
